Fishermans Point, in the shire of Hornsby, lies on the southwestern shore of the Hawkesbury River, immediately north of Bar Island, at the mouth of Berowra Creek. (dictionaryofsydney.org)

History
Before European settlement, the point would have been in the territory of the Dharug people.

Previously called Fishermans Bend, it was named Fishermans Point on an 1831 survey map, which also records a 35-acre (14-hectare) land grant there to two businessmen, FJ King and RW Robinson. Since then, Fishermans Point has developed into a secluded residential and recreational area. (dictionaryofsydney.org)
