| The cottage at 45 Devitt Street (moved to 2 Wallace Street in 2019) would be likely to have been the first house on the site after subdivision in the Blacktown Estate released by C.J. Turner in the early 1900’s. Railway Parade (which later became Devitt Street) appears in an area marked “Blacktown Estate 852 Lots 40 X 150 all sold and partly built on”, on one of the C.J. Turner Auction Maps for the release of the neighbouring Headingly Estate 1913 / 1920. |  |
