St Marys – Dunheved Fire Station

During World War 2 St Marys was chosen as the site for the manufacture of munitions. An industrial area, employing 3,500 people, was established north of the railway line and west of Forrester Road. The Fire Station was built to give protection to the ammunitions factories in the area during World War 2. image
