St Marys – General Cemetery

The cemetery was opened in 1881 with an Anglican section administered by a trust. The sections for Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans and Independent came later. The cemetery is the major burial ground for the St Marys region. In post Second World War years the cemetery was used for burials of migrants of Greek, Maltese, Italian and Eastern European descent. image
