Castlereagh – Crushing Plant

Completed in the inter-war era, the crushing plant is the largest extant industrial processing structure of its era in the Nepean region and dramatically demonstrates the early role of the gravel extraction industry in the development of the region. It is a landmark in the area given its scale, contrasting materials and setting against the treed foothills of the Blue Mountains. image
