A dwelling associated with Thompsons Tannery. The cottage demonstrates a phase in the development of St. Marys in the 1880s and after the coming of the railway with the building of brick cottages within the village area. It also demonstrates the evolution of Thompsons tannery and is one of the few remaining extant structures associated with the tannery. It is believed this cottage was built as part of the development of Andrew Thompson’s Tannery, the approximate location of William Thompson’s Brick Yard. | ![]() |
