Blacktown – Inter-War House

The land on which the house stands is part of a larger allotment purchased by the Sarzano family in 1915. The land was used for growing grapes and citrus. The grapes were used for wine made on the site. The family initially lived in a smaller dwelling on the site, probably building the present house in the 1930s. After the site was subdivided, wine making continued on the site until the mid-1970s. image
